Concept
A ring appears when you put four wooden plates together. The tree used for this black ring is treasured Japanese cedar called "Jindai Sugi (mythological aged cedar)", which had been kept under ground for hundreds of years. This exquisite plate was created by one of the most well-known Japanese wood artisan. All the insects are drawn by a Buddhist artisan, elaborating the motifs taken from an old European illustration book.
